Display Transcript

To mark the 25th anniversary of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department has held a party on the ground floor foyer and piazza areas with free public participation.

After a special birthday song performed by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Director of Leisure & Cultural Services Michelle Li rolled out a special birthday cake, for visitors to enjoy a slice.

Artists and groups offered music, dance and theatre programmes. Participants could also try their hand at being the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra conductor.

Twenty-five pianos were placed around the piazza area, with six of them artistically painted and decorated by local artists.

Visitors played drum or piano in the outdoor environment and toured art and crafts stalls displaying local art practitioners' creative works.
